Contracts & Procurement:
The Contracts and Procurement Division provides central purchasing for the City of Salem. Items such as office supplies, computers, construction work, engineering services, heavy equipment and many other services and products are procured through competitive public contracting processes supported by this division.
Finance:
The Finance Division provides central accounting services for all City departments, the Salem Housing Authority, the Downtown Parking District and the Salem Urban Renewal Agency. Services include accounts receivable, accounts payable, payroll, and investment of City funds. Finance is also responsible for the preparation of the annual Capital Improvements Plan (CIP), the Comprehensive Annual Financial Report (CAFR), the Urban Renewal Agency Annual Financial Report, and the Single Audit report. Fleet Services:
The Fleet Services Division obtains, maintains and repairs vehicles and work equipment used by all City departments. Warehouse personnel at the Central Stores Warehouse purchase, inventory and issue materials used by all City departments.
Municipal Court:
The Municipal Court Division, a Judicial Branch of Municipal Government. The Court adjudicates misdemeanor, violation and parking cases arising from municipal ordinances, state statutes and miscellaneous matters as provided by ordinance.
