American Recovery and Reinvestment Act: Putting Your Dollars to Work

The American Recovery and Reinvestment Act of 2009, or ARRA, was signed into law by President Obama on February 17. The stated purpose of the Recovery Act is to preserve and create jobs, promote economic recovery, assist those most impacted by the recession, spur technological advances, and invest in infrastructure that provides long term benefits. The City of Salem has taken a proactive approach to enable Salem's citizens to receive a portion of the intended benefits of the Recovery Act.
