School-Based ProgramsEach of the Salem-Keizer high schools offer after school activities, including intramural sports, athletics, theater arts, enrichment, and special interests. Teen Action Team (T.A.T.)This School-based program's purpose is to empower youth to interact with their peers and people of all ages to advocate for a drug and violence free community. Through youth-adult partnerships, a self-perpetuating service learning model is developed that allows students to practice positive life skills and encourage peers to develop healthy lifestyle habits. Youth Groups/ClubsOffered for specific grade levels and serving youth who generally live close to one another or attend the same school. Programs are led by volunteer club leaders through Boy Scouts, Camp Fire Boys and Girls, 4-H/Extension, and Girl Scouts. |
