OFLA Sick Child Guidelines:
- Routine medical and dental appointments, school closures and/or absent care provider do not qualify for ''Sick Child Leave". Please follow normal leave procedures.
- Sick Child Leave is counted as OFLA only and does not deplete any allowance you may be entitled to under FMLA.
- Sick Child Leave is to care for a child under age 18 for a non-serious illness. If the illness will require over 3 days off from work or is a recurring chronic health condition, this may qualify as a FMLA/OFLA Serious Health condition of a family member. Please complete a FMLA/OFLA Leave Request form for those situations.
