Anderson Rooms A&B
Brain Boosters offers families of children ages three, four and five a chance to share a story and do related hands-on activities that boost the early literacy skills preschoolers need in order to be ready to read when they enter school. Brain Boosters is brought to you through Ready to Read grant funds, and takes the place of our regularly scheduled Saturday pre-school storytime.
As space and materials are limited, pre-registration is recommended using the “My Calendar” link at www.salemlibrary.org or from the Youth Services Desk in person or by phone at 503-588-6088.
For questions please call the Youth Services Desk at 503-588-6088.
*What Brain Boosters is all about
Brain Boosters is a math and science-based program related to the Mother Goose Educational Resources. Reading stories with your children not only helps them develop literacy skills related to reading and writing, but can also help children learn how to use math and science skills and concepts to address their own real-life problems as they arise. At the same time, children are developing critical language development skills that help prepare them for school readiness.
