Children's Room Rejuvenation Updates!
The Children's area was built nearly 25 years ago.  We are sprucing things up and aligning this busy space with the best current youth literacy practices.  Construction is almost complete. Come see our progress - the Children’s Room is now open!
Youth Services staff and materials have all moved back upstairs into the Children's Area.  Furnishings are still to come.  We're hoping to begin story times in our new story room very soon!

Story times are still on a reduced schedule, but will resume with a full slate in January 2015.

Through the end of December, storytimes are currently as follows:

Preschool Storytime - Tuesdays at 10:30 am
Lapsit Storytime - Wednesdays at 10:30 am
Cuentos en espanol - Wednesdays at 6:30 pm

Children's Choice Book Club
Thursday, December 18, 4 - 5 pm
Location: Plaza Room

Kids in grades 2 to 4 are invited to read each of the books for the 2014-2015 Beverly Cleary Children’s Choice Book Club, and participate in our monthly after-school book club.

Register online, in person at the Youth Services Desk, or by calling 503-588-6088 for this group that offers lively discussion, games and crafts.
