Thanks for checking out the Salem Police Department "Ask a Cop" page.  Since 2006, the Salem Police Crime Prevention Unit has accepted and responded to questions submitted by community members.

Responses are returned by a member of the Crime Prevention Unit or by an officer from a specialty unit. 

From tricky traffic laws to trespass issues, Salem citizens have asked a variety of questions related to law enforcement.

Now the department would like to give the opportunity for local school children to submit their questions.  Parents, or grandparents, are asked to help children put together their question and submit it via email to crimeprevention@cityofsalem.net along with their name, age, school and mailing address.
