WVCC is a primary Public Safety Answering Point (PSAP) and delivers service to Police, Fire and EMS personnel. This requires an intensive training program for it's staff. Our training program is certified by the Department of Public Safety Standards and Training (DPSST) and meets all state mandated requirements.

New employees can expect to receive approximately 6-7 weeks of intensive class room training prior to being assigned one-on-one with a coach, on shift, to handle the public's request for services. Once on shift, the training continues for approximately another 12-14 weeks, and is critiqued daily. Our goal is to produce a high level of fully qualified personnel to meet the areas emergency services needs.
