The City of Salem High Water Watch (HWW) system has been developed to serve as an early warning system for use by regional emergency management staff and for public awareness.
High Water Watch flood and major flood levels (level definitions) have been established for the majority of the continuous stream monitoring stations in Salem.
Stage data collected during the January 2012 storm event allowed City staff to correlate flooding observations with applicable stage data readings for a number of stations. This additional information is meant to serve only as a general guideline.
