Salem Municipal Airport - SLE

McNary Field, owned and operated by the City of Salem and frequently referred to as "The Salem Airport," is located approximately two miles southeast of downtown Salem and is bordered by I-5, to the East, and the Pacific Railroad on the West.
The 751 acre airport serves general aviation aircraft and the Oregon Army National Guard- Army Aviation Support Facility.

The airport is made up of two jet runways:
* Instrument: 5,811' by 150' and the other
* Visual: 5,145' by 100' and
* Supporting taxiways.
Both runways were recently resurfaced and grooved.
Airport Noise Work GroupThe Airport Noise Work Group is composed of representatives of the Airport and Neighborhood Associations. The group discusses real issues about the airport and strive toward workable solutions for both businesses and neighborhoods. |
