Join me, Coach Saxe, on Saturday, June 3rd as I celebrate my retirement after teaching and coaching at South Salem High School for 35 years. The Matson-Shannon 5K is at 10:00 (the traditional Saxon Invite start time), and the Pankey 800 for children under the age of 10 at 10:50. The  5K will be run on the traditional Bush Park course. Community members, current students and athletes, and former students and athletes are all welcome to attend. There will be a BBQ (Adams Ribs Catering) afterward for anyone who would like to hang out a little longer. All proceeds will go toward two scholarships my husband and I are committed to offering at SSHS for years to come, as well to the WVRR Kelsey Oldham Scholarship for which I am the chairperson.

South Salem art teacher Dave Pluister is creating one of a kind glassware for the top 10 men and women finishers in each race. The top finishers in the Pankey 800 will receive mason jars filled with candy!
