General Rental Listings

Privately owned or managed rental housing is available to the general public at market rate.  Each property manages its own waiting list.  Contact landlords directly to find out how to apply for these housing opportunities.  Housing Choice Vouchers may be accepted.   Lists are updated weekly.        1 Bedroom Units       2 Bedroom Units        3+ Bedroom Units

HUD Rental Housing
HUD privately-owned or managed rental housing is subsidized directly through the private landlord and the Department of Housing and Urban Development. Some of the properties are 100% subsidized, some have a mix of subsidized units as well as market rate units, and others allow the use of a Housing Choice Voucher. Each property manages its own waiting list and vacancies. Contact private landlords directly to find out how to apply for these housing opportunities.

Salem Housing Authority participates on the Marion County Continuum of Care/Affordable Housing Task Force, a broad based coalition of both community and faith-based organizations working to assess the nature and extent of housing concerns in Marion County.  The task force has begun working on strategies to identify homeless and at-risk persons and has engaged in a planning process to meet those needs.  Goals and objectives outlined in the Ten-year Plan will help identify new resources to meet gaps in service delivery to assist persons in ending their homelessness or housing crisis.  View the Marion County Continnum of Care Ten-Year Plan to End Homelessness.
