PARK OPERATION SUPERVISORS AND STAFF - Services performed by Parks Operations include specific maintenance tasks and support of special events and park reservations. Specific service areas include: general park maintenance, rehabilitation and development, park building and facility maintenance, turf maintenance, irrigation, and urban forestry management. Services are delivered by two maintenance districts and a support services function.

Parks and Recreation Manager - Parks and Transportation Services Manager The Parks and Transportaion Services Manager oversees all Parks and Recreation services of the City, as well as all Transportation Planning, Traffic Engineering, and Street Maintenance functions. |

Park Maintenance - District 1 - Parks Operations Supervisor South Parks and Wetlands - The District One Supervisor is responsible for all of the maintenance activities related to Salem parks south of Mission Street. This includes large sites such as Bush's Pasture Park, Historic Deepwood Estates, and Cascades Gateway Park. |

Park Maintenance - District 2 - Parks Operations Supervisor Noth and West Parks - The District Two Supervisor is responsible for all of the maintenance activities related to Salem Parks north of Mission Street and in West Salem. This includes such large parks at Wallace Marine and Riverfront. |

Parks Operations Volunteer Coordinator The Volunteer Coordinator is responsible for coordinating, recruiting, and maintaining a pool of park volunteers to assist in a wide variety of park maintanance activities. This includes supplemental labor programs, and court ordered community service for the City of Salem, and Marion and Polk Counties. |
