It Takes a Lifetime to Get This Smart!

Tech 50+ seeks to meet your technology needs by providing education of essential and fun compuer skills specifically tailored to the 50+ community.  Take classes to feel more comfortable and confident with modern computing technology in all its forms. Free wireless internet access (WiFi) available.

Computer Education

Classes:

  • o   Registration: $25-$50 per class
  • o   Materials: Text books free use during class, students may purchase text at additional cost.
  • o   Tutoring: Students may make appointments with knowledgeable techs for extra help with classes.  $1 lab use fee.
  • o   Lab use fee waived for day of class.

o   Cohort students Enroll now and get Free Lab Use until completion of all 6 courses (Fall-Summer sessions)

Retakes:

§  Tech50+ volunteer instructed class $5 retake within 1 year of full priced class.

§  Student may retake class as many times as wanted during the year.

§  Additional fees may apply if requesting new materials.

Workshops:

  • o   $10 per 2 hour workshop.
  • o Workshop topics vary see flyer for specific details. Located at the front desk and at the Tech 50+ computer Lab.

Seminars:

  • o  By Donation
  • o   Seminar topics vary see flyer for specific details. Located at the front desk and at the Tech 50+ computer Lab.

Open Lab:

  • o   By Donation (open based on volunteer monitor availability)
  • o   Windows 8, XP, and Macintosh Mavericks OS X computers available for use.
  • o   Trouble shooting your personal computer/software problems. (volunteer computer technician’s knowledge and skills vary)
  • o   Printing: 25 cents per page.
  • o   Independent computer use may be allowed during class when enrollment is 4 students or less, no print during class instruction times.

Volunteer Opportunities: 

  • o   Positions for all experience levels available.  Join our dedicated team of great volunteers.
