Welcome to the Salem Police Department's community crime statistics page.  This site provides you with statistics for reported crime in Salem, Oregon.

You can chose one of two methods to search for data: By the Map or By the Numbers.

By the Map provides you with crime statistics for your neighborhood via a link to CrimeReports.com.  CrimeReports is the latest tool being used by Salem Police to provide you up-to-date data with a mapping feature. 

• Simply enter an address in the search bar, for example, that of your home, work or child's school.
• Narrow your search to pinpoint the type of crime you want to know about.
• CrimeReports updates data from Salem Police daily and uses the latest technology to map the info instantaneously.
• Integrated mapping also allows you to see sex offender information for your area provided by the Oregon State Police.

By the Numbers gives you the number of reported crimes by neighborhood association.  Postings are updated approximately two weeks after the end of each month.  A quick click on the most current month available provides you with the number of crime reports by crime category for your neighborhood association area.

If you don't know your neighborhood association, no worries.  Click on this link for a city map.  While you're there, check out the additional information provided about your neighborhood, such as parks, schools and neighborhood association meetings.
