2. APPROVAL OF MINUTES, RESOLUTIONS AND REPORTS

2.1 Approval of Minutes

October 3, 2006 (Commissioner Goss)
Recommended Action: Approve

2.2 Consent Reports:
(a) Code Amendment Case No. 06-6 - SRC Chapter 6 (Lisa Van de Water; lvandewater@cityofsalem.net)
To change the number of Planning Commission members from seven (7) to nine (9) and edit/update
Salem Revised Code Chapter 6, Planning Commission.
Recommended Action: Approve

(b) Vacation of portions of right-of-way for Ferry St, Cottage St, Trade St and Mill St SE and an alley
parallel to Cottage St SE (Julie Warncke, Public Works; jwarncke@cityofsalem.net).  This would revert
these rights-of-way to adjacent property owners. Also a concurrent replat so that all properties
will continue to have access to public right-of-way.
Recommended Action: Approve

(c) Vacation of property on 4 St NE and the parallel th alley to the east, between Market and
Belmont Sts NE (David Baltz, Public Works; deblatz@cityofsalem.net).  Vacating property in conjunction
with a Salem Urban Renewal Agency redevelopment project.
Recommended Action: Approve

3. APPEARANCE OF INTERESTED CITIZENS, NEIGHBORHOOD ORGANIZATIONS AND ADVISORY COMMITTEES

4. PUBLIC HEARINGS: Hearings begin at 5:30 p.m. unless otherwise noted. The statement of criteria
will be read at the beginning of the hearings.

5. WORK SESSIONS

5.1 Proposed Text Amendments to Salem Revised Code Regarding Chapter 147, RD - Duplex Residential Zone
(CA 05-14)
(Lisa Van de Water; lvandewater@cityofsalem.net) Staff recommends that the Planning
Commission adopt the facts and findings in the January 24, 2006, staff report and recommend that the
City Council accept first reading of an ordinance bill for the purpose of amending SRC 147 to clarify the
minimum lot area, modify the maximum lot coverage standards for duplexes in the Duplex Residential Zone,
and making other amendments for consistency.
Recommended Action: Approve
