3.      APPEARANCE OF INTERESTED CITIZENS, NEIGHBORHOOD
         ORGANIZATIONS AND ADVISORY COMMITTEES

4.      PUBLIC HEARINGS:  Hearings begin at 5:30 p.m. unless
         otherwise noted.  The statement of criteria will be read at
         the beginning of the hearings.

4.1    Code Amendment No. 07-10 - Proposed  Amendments
         to the Salem Revised Code (SRC) Chapter 161
         (Employment Center) relating to location of retail uses 
         and size limitations for hotels/motels and health and fitness
         centers  (Cecilia Urbani; curbani@cityofsalem.net)
         To amend SRC Chapter 161 to allow retail service uses to be
         located in multiple locations within the Employment Center (EC)
         zone except for the Phase 1B property and to describe the maximum
         land area as 20 acres rather than a percentage of the total EC zoned
         area; to limit the size for a hotel or motel within the EC zone to
         maximum of 100 guest rooms rather than 50,000 square feet as currently
         required under SRC 161.030; and to limit the size of health and fitness
         clubs within the EC zone to 40,000 square feet .
         Recommended Action:  Adopt Report

           5.1    Proposed Text Amendments to the Salem Revised Code Chapter 63,
                    Subdivisions, Regarding Phased Subdivisions for Commercial and
                    Industrial Uses  
                     Recommended Action:   See 4.1 above.
