Infrastructure & Maintenance Strategy

Improve maintenance work on Olinger Pool, contingent upon participation by the Salem-Keizer School District.

Status Update

The Salem-Keizer School District owns Olinger Pool and the City of Salem operates and maintains the pool under a cooperative use agreement. Over the past five years, the city has completed several maintenance projects on the pool.

Olinger Pool was last upgraded in 1987 when a new deck, gutters, and filtration system were installed. Each year, as part of the budget process, staff works with the Salem-Keizer School District to identify necessary maintenance upgrades and costs. This information will be forthcoming 2008-09 budget process for both jurisdictions.
