Salem Fire Emergency Medical Services

The Emergency Medical Services (EMS) Division oversees the administration of EMS services provided by Salem Fire Department and the subcontracted ambulance service provider, Rural/Metro Ambulance within the City of Salem and the Salem Suburban Rural Fire Protection District. These EMS services include Ambulance Service Area oversight, Continued Quality Improvement (CQI), maintaining and distributing medical supplies and equipment, effective continuous training of the department's paramedics and emergency medical technicians and community education.

Fire Apparatus

The EMS Division is also responsible for ambulance billing for patients transported by Salem Fire ambulances as well as contracted billing for four other neighboring fire agencies and administration of the City of Salem Capital FireMed ambulance subscription program.
