Interlibrary LoanIf the library doesn't have the book, journal article, or documents you need, we may be able to borrow them from another library. There is a $1 charge for each interlibrary loan item requested, in addition to any postage, insurance and fees charged by the lending library. Each patron may have up to 5 ILL requests on loan at a time. We cannot fill requests for current year items(except photocopies of magazine articles). To maintain compliance with copyright laws you may request one article per magazine issue at a time, and no more than 5 articles per magazine title per year. Most items will be available for you within 10-14 days of placing your request. When your item arrives you will be notified according to the preference listed on your library account using the CCRLS automated system. While it is best to return the item within the time period requested by the loaning library, renewals are generally possible. To avoid overdue charges please contact us before the due date when requesting a renewal. Before placing a request we ask that you do the following:
The reference staff will be happy to help you identify and order items through Interlibrary Loan. Please stop by the reference desk or call the desk at 503-588-6052. You may download and complete the appropriate form and either email it to us or drop it off the next time you visit the library. The forms are available as a Word document or a pdf file. The Word document is fillable and may be emailed. The pdf form will need to be brought to the library. Magazine/Microfilm Request in Word Magazine/Microfilm Request in Adobe PDF
