If you cannot come to Salem Public Library, the Library can come to you!

The Salem Public Library provides monthly service to residents in the city limits of Salem who have difficulty reaching or using the library because of homebound status, residence in a care facility, physical disability, extended illness or advanced age.

Operation Bookshelf is a service of the Salem Public Library and Assistance League® of Salem. Volunteers from Assistance League deliver:

  • Regular and large-print books and magazines
  • Books and music on tape & CD
  • Videos and DVDs ($1 fee applies)
