Street Closure Request

In conjunction with a large community event you're planning, you may request temporary closure of a city street. For example, National Night Out is observed by many neighborhoods across Salem with picnics, concerts, marches, and other community events. Each event that requires closure of a street must submit a separate request form to the Department of Community Services. The permit fee is waived for National Night Out events.

To submit the Temporary Street Closure Request form  (pdf document), first print it from your computer. Fill it out, then mail to our office or submit the form in person:
