Volunteer Opportunities - Neighborhoods

Tree planting volunteers, photoBy their very nature, neighborhood associations run on volunteer power. Grassroots efforts by concerned citizens impact traffic patterns, land use, urban growth, safety issues, and so much more. Neighborhood associations (NAs) rely on volunteers to get the job done. If you're looking for more information about your neighborhood association, check this map to see which neighborhood is yours. Contact information for all of the neighborhood associations is on this website. Or, contact one of the Neighborhood Services Sepcialists in the Parks, Recreation, and Community Services Department at 503-588-6261.

The office of Neighborhood Services supports NAs by passing along information in a variety of formats, information that keeps NAs informed of things happening in their community and their local government. Neighborhood Services also provides technical support in the form of coordinating and producing newsletters, connecting citizens with contact people in local government, training people on how to be active participants in their own government, and so on. This work is greatly supported by volunteers.
