December Park Partners of the Month

This year, so far, the Minto-Brown Island Volunteer Park Patrol members have spent approximately 3,214 hours at Minto-Brown Island Park keeping it safe and healthy for park users.

Floyd Roe has spent 882 hours in the park this year. Marion Heathcock has 432 hours under his belt and Ed Davison has contributed 412 hours. Phil Jensen has spent a good portion of his patrol hours cutting back blackberry vines that are encroaching on trails. Recently, volunteer Tom Ferron completely delighted a park user by rescuing her lost car keys on the trail and turning them in to park staff. Other Patrol members who have contributed time and energy to keep Minto-Brown friendly and safe include Betsy Belshaw, Dwight Courtney, Michael Cremere, Jerry Gastineau, Bill Haskins, Margie Hibner, Cinda Hodson, Kim Wyatt, Norman Johnson, Ron Kittelson, Bob Laney, Patrick McDowell, Bob Panuccio, Paul Payne, Steve Sansone, Roz Shirack, Scott Smith, Dale Snedaker, Virginia Taylor, Gary Web, Del White, and Chet Zenone.

Next time you are at Minto-Brown Island Park and see one of the Patrol members in their bright, orange vest, be sure to wave and say "thank you" to them for their service and their commitment.
