Salem Parks Foundation Grant Program

The Salem Parks Foundation (SPF) announces a competitive grant program for Salem parks.  At least two grants of up to $1,000 each will be awarded to two neighborhood associations that demonstrate how they will enhance one of their parks.

Application Procedure

In a brief (one- or two-page) proposal, describe the park to be enhanced, information about the current use and users of the park, what the money will be used for, and why your particular park needs the grant.  A simple budget and time line should also be included. Have your grant proposal signed by both the Chair of your neighborhood association and by the Chair of your association’s parks committee.

Some items that have been purchased with grant awards:

• Oak tree
• Bark chips to refresh walking paths or under playground equipment
• Mutt Mitt dispenser
• Mutt Mitt dispenser refill
• BBQ grill
• Bench
• Bicycle loop rack (to lock bicycles)
• 4’ high playground vertical pipe climber

Deadline
