Minto-Brown Island Park Patrol

Minto-Brown Island Park sign The  Minto-Brown Island Park Patrol is currently taking applications. Patrol duties include:

  • Provide information to park users concerning directions, general park information, rules and regulations, and trail conditions.
  • Conduct general patrols of the park with emphasis on safety in parking lots and trails, and help to create a user-friendly, user-safe atmosphere in the park.
  • Inform Parks Operations staff of hazardous conditions, vandalism, and illegal activities in the park.
  • Assist a minimum of eight (8) hours a month.
  • Volunteers can choose their own hours to serve.

The Salem Police Department conducts a three-hour training session for all new members.
