The Hiring Process

The hiring process is a competitive selection procedure.

Writing Exercise:

Applicants will view a series of job related videos and complete written exercises based on each video. Exercises are scored for grammar, content, accuracy and composition.

Physical Fitness Test:

Applicants will perform five (5) physical fitness components that relate to essential job functions.

(1) Vertical Jump - 14 inches to pass
(2) Sit Ups/one minute - 29 sits ups to pass
(3) 300 Meter Run - 71 seconds max to pass
(4) Push Ups/one minute - 25 push ups to pass
(5) 1.5 Mile Run - 16 minutes, 28 seconds max to pass

Oral Interview:

This is a structured interview. Applicants will be asked job specific questions in front of a panel of evaluators.

Integrity Interview:

This process is conducted by a trained investigator who will ask questions relating to virtually every aspect of your life, and use this to assist in conducting the background investigation.

Background Investigation:

This process will thoroughly examine all aspects of your personal and professional life. All academic, professional, legal, military, and personal records are obtained, verified and examined.

After a conditional offer of hire is made, all applicants must successfully pass the following:

Physical examination

Vision test

Hearing test

Psychological examination

Drug screen
