Police Officer Recruitment

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS

21 years of age upon appointment as police officer

Possess good communication skills

High school graduate (or possess G.E.D.)

Written examination

U.S. citizenship

Oral interview

Excellent moral character

Willing to work nights, weekends and holidays

Valid drivers license

Minimum reading and writing skills - 12th grade level

Meet or exceed minimum physical standards

Demonstrate having made good life choices, as determined by an extensive, in depth background investigation

Meet all applicable physical, vision, hearing and psychological examination requirements (after conditional offer of hire)
