Ride Along Program

The Salem Police Department offers opportunities for citizens to ride-along with police officers. In order to participate in this program you must meet the following criteria:

Rider must be 18 years of age

Only one ride is allowed per person each year. This ride is limited to five hours.

Persons wishing to ride must fill out a Ride-Along application. You can obtain an application at the front counter of the Salem Police Department, 555 Liberty St. SE Room #130 or you can click on the link below and print it out.

Once you have filled out the form completely you must return it, in person, to the front counter of the Salem Police Department. DO NOT mail it back. At the time of application you will be required to provide picture ID or your application will not be accepted. Please allow 48 hours for the application to be processed.
