Other General Airport Frequently Asked Questions: Are there any hangars for rent or lots to build hangars available? Mr. Alexander, the Salem Airport Administrator, will need to answer that question and you may call him directly. If he is not in you may leave a message for him to return your call. He can be reached at 503-589-2057. Is there anything that can be done about helicopter noise or airplane noise? That is a question for Mr. Franklin, the Salem Airport Operations Manager. You may call him directly at 503-589-2058. If he is not in, please leave a message for him to return your call. It is helpful if you can provide information such as the time of day, type of aircraft, (i.e., small helicopter, single engine airplane, twin engine jet, etc.), color of aircraft, your physical address, any other information you think would be helpful, and a return telephone number if you wish to be called back. This information makes it easier for us to follow-up on your concerns. Airport staff works closely with the Salem FAA Control Tower, local flight schools and other aircraft owners to encourage flying that is the least disruptive to our neighbors while still in compliance with FAA regulation and safe flight practices.
