Standard - Long Term Disability

The City provides a long term disability plan for IAFF represented employees through Standard Insurance Company.

If you become disabled while insured under the group policy, Standard will pay LTD benefits after they receive satisfactory proof of loss. 

Waiting period – for a disability arising out of or in the course of any employment for Employer - 180 days. For any other disability - 60 days.

Benefit – 60 % of the first $6,000 of your predisability earnings, reduced by deductible income
