• Write Wastewater Discharge Permits  as required.
• Review Permit Applications for new and existing businesses.
• Inspect Permitted Industries for compliance with Federal, State, and City regulations.
• Sample permitted industries for compliance with Federal, State, and City regulations.
• Take enforcement actions for non-compliance with Federal, State, and City regulations.
• Environmental crimes investigation and reporting.

• Issue permits to septic waste haulers and conduct followup inspections.
• Review Business Plans for pretreatment  requirements.
• Conduct Surveys and field inspections to determine applicable regulatory status.
• Approve Accidental Spill Prevention Plans from regulated businesses.
• Develop and maintain Local Discharge Limits for applicable discharge parameters.
