Riverfront Park Court Street Pedestrian Entrance Work

Beginning Thursday, August 16, 2007, Portland and Western Railroad personnel will be setting a pedestrian walk panel between the rails at the Court Street NE pedestrian entrance to Riverfront Park. This work should conclude sometime Friday, August 17, 2007.

During the work, pedestrian access between Court Street NE and Riverfront Park will be closed for five-minute periods when their equipment is occupying pedestrian crossing areas. They will have the area taped off and a flagger stationed at the pedestrian areas while they are near the crossing area.

The Parks Department will be also removing some sections of the fence between the rails and the Park at the Railroad's request to allow removal of construction debris. Temporary fencing and/or caution tape will be placed until the fence can be restored.
