Description
|
On September 10th, 2007 the Urban Renewal Agency owned property to the north of the proposed Senior Center at Hollywood Station was sold to Hollywood Renewal LLC. Bound by Portland Road (east), Brooks Street (west), Pine Street (north) and new City of Salem Senior Center (south), the proposed development includes 24 town homes, 23,000 square feet of commercial, and development of a triangular shaped remnant property north of the new Pine Street alignment. Construction of the town homes and permitting for the commercial buidling is underway. Closing on the Pine Street remnant parcel is expected to occur before May 31, 2008.

| |
In December 2007, the Agency approved code amendments to the Pine Street Mixed-Use Area (Area 1) within the Portland/Fairgrounds Road Overlay Zone to allow Planned Unit Developments (PUD’s), establish a minimum variable development density, and removed the minimum Floor-to-Area Ratio (FAR) requirement for commercial buildings in Area 1.
No commitment of public resources, in the form of a loan or a grant, is required of the Agency to support this project. The Hollywood Renewal LLC is comprised of Mountain West Investment Corporation and Glennie Property Investments.
