Reserving a Park Area

Salem's reservable facilities can provide the perfect option for a company picnic, group outing, family reunion, or other special event. 

Within the park system, there are a number of reservation sites and special facilities made available for rental. Below are some of the park areas that can be rented. Other areas that can be reserved include the Salem Senior Center, Olinger and Walker pools, and ball fields.

To reserve a park , you must go to the Community Services Department at the Salem Civic Center located at 555 Liberty Street SE, Room 300, to submit a signed application along with any associated fees.

Located in a beautiful park setting, the perfect location for meetings, retreats, weddings, receptions, reunions and holiday gatherings.

The amphitheater, located at the southeast portion of the park, is a great option for concerts and outdoor events.

Also available for rental are the pathways for walks or runs, and the North Meadow and South Meadow areas.

Rotary Centennial Pavilion

The latest addition to the park is a lovely open air pavilion donated by the Salem Rotary as their centennial project.  The shelter is a great option for family  reunions, company picnics and other outdoor events.  The pavilion includes electrical access, a sink with potable water, and picnic tables.  For rates and rental information, please click on the link below or contact 503-588-6261.

Woodmansee Park Shelter

The shelter was recently renovated in Summer 2006 and  includes the following amenities:

Stainless steel counter with sink
Two charcoal BBQ'sshelter
A drinking fountain
Tables: Five in the shelter, two outside shelter
One garbage can
Three duplex outlets, spaced along the length of the counter on the East wall
16 parking spaces and one accessible parking space
Amplified sound is not permitted.
Alcohol is not permitted without an alcohol permit.

There are no restrooms near the shelter.  Visitors will have to walk to the back of the park.
The shelter can accommodate 50 people.

Reservation Fee: $25 per hour (4 hour minimum)

Any park not listed above cannot be reserved.  They are available on a drop in first come first serve basis only.
