    Family Caregiver Seminar - Understanding Alzheimer's Disease12:00 p.m.1:00 p.m.Virtual Meeting

"Dementia Conversations" is the topic of this month's free seminar for unpaid family caregivers. When someone is showing signs of dementia, it’s time to talk. This class is designed to help you talk with your family about some challenging and often uncomfortable topics around Alzheimer’s and dementia, such as: going to the doctor to get a diagnosis or medical care; deciding when it is necessary to stop driving; and making plans for managing finances and legal documents to be sure the person’s wishes are carried out and the costs of future care are covered. Join us and learn some tips for breaking the ice and setting the stage for meaningful and productive conversations about dementia. Please call or email to register. Presented in partnership with the Among Friends Adult Day Respite and Time with Friends Programs with additional support by NorthWest Senior & Disability Services.

    Presenter: Alzheimer's Association, Lisa Haines
