Although Center 50+ remains closed to drop-in activities, we are beginning to roll out one-on-one activities by appointment and limited activities for small groups with registered participants. The Center offers online classes and activities as well as outreach services, including site visits with the Wellness on Wheels van. For all activities, we strictly adhere to safety precautions required by the CDC, OHA, and Salem EOC. Congregate meals offered Monday through Friday at Center 50+ continue through a drive-up option. Follow Center50plus on Facebook for additional information. Check the City's COVID-19 information center for all City service impacts.
An important part of staying healthy as you age is staying engaged physically and socially. The City of Salem along with concerned citizens, and the 501(c)3 nonprofit Friends of Center 50+, collaborated to create Center 50+ as a non-membership community center providing programs and services to adults age 50 and older. Other programs throughout the City provide help in specialized areas.
