Slow Art Day

Salem Public Art Commission and Salem Public Library invites the public to join in celebrating Slow Art Day. Slow Art Day is a “global event with a simple mission: help people discover for themselves the joy of looking at and loving art.”

For this year’s event, three works of art from the Salem Public Art Collection housed at the library have been selected to view for 10 minutes each, followed by a brief discussion of the art and the viewing experience. Artists Bonnie Hull, Eileen Cotter Howell, and Carol Hausser will be present to answer questions and to share their insights about their selected artworks.

Meet at 10:50 a.m. in Anderson A at the library for a unique art experience.
