Connect with nature and your community! Listen to stories about collective farming and learn how gardening can connect people with advocacy efforts and inspire them toward civic engagement.

Free. First come, first seated. This program is supported by the Friends of the Salem Public Library.

Black Joy Farm is located in Keizer, OR. The farm is entirely maintained by members and volunteers and in 2025 they were able to provide over 3,000lbs of food to their local community. Black Joy also has an Urban Gardening program which provides indoor gardening systems to BIPOC households. Learn more about their work at: www.blackjoyoregon.com
