Culture Keeper Stacy Rose will lead us on an Ashkenazi Jewish food journey. At different times of the year, Jews celebrate holidays and religious festivals with iconic food dishes. The dishes may have ingredients related to the scriptural/historical basis for the holiday, or just be shaped or cooked in a significant way. Participants will learn about those holiday food pairings, and have a taste of some dishes. At the end, Stacy will teach a traditional Israeli folk dance Hineh Ma Tov. The lyrics for this dance come from the Book of Psalms 133:1: "Behold, how good and pleasant it is when brothers and sisters dwell together in unity."
