Geer Community Park* is a community park with multiple recreational opportunities. Geer has a combination of hard and soft walking trails, picnic tables, and permanent restrooms located near the baseball fields* and the soccer fields*. North of the baseball fields are pump tracks utilized by both bicycles and skateboards.

Reservable Areas
Paid reservations have priority over drop-in use.
The athletic fields are natural grass fields and are open annually for scheduled use from late-March through the end of October. Note: these dates may change due to weather.
Baseball Fields*
Practice is drop in, first-come first-served. For more information about reserving the field for games or tournaments, call 503-588-6261.
The east baseball field is pegged for 90-foot play. The west baseball field is pegged for both 80- and 90-foot play. Both fields have covered dugouts and a set of bleachers behind home plate. Bases are left on the fields from mid-March through October.
Soccer Fields*
Practice is drop in, first-come first-served. When multiple teams are present, teams are expected to safely share the space.

Reservation Instructions and Forms
*Geer Community Park baseball and soccer fields will be receiving upgrades as part of the Safety and Livability Bond passed by Salem voters in November of 2022. Upgrades throughout the city are taking place starting in fiscal year 2023 through fiscal year 2032. More information can be found at the Safety and Livability Bond page.
