Permit fees may be a set amount, an hourly fee, a calculated amount or a combination of these methods.
The City Council adopts fees each fiscal year. All applications include a non-refundable application and processing fee.
Many of the building permit feees are based on the valuation of the work to be done. Valuation is the total value of all construction work for which the permit is issued, including the contractor’s profit. The final determination of valuation is made by the Building Official.
