Budget planning enables the City to provide excellent customer service, foster efficient and cost-effective government, maintain the City’s healthy and stable financial position, and deliver high-quality services to meet the needs of the community. Financial transparency means providing access to financial reports and processes in a timely and reliable way.

City of Salem Budget Committee Meetings Begin April 25

On Wednesday, April 25, at 6 p.m. in City Council Chambers, the City of Salem Citizen Budget Committee will hold the first of three Budget Committee meetings. After receiving community input on the City’s estimates for revenue, the cost of services and capital projects, the budget committee will then develop a recommended budget for City Council to consider during a public hearing in June.
