Children are encouraged to experience learning as play in our Discovery Room. Since 1986, the Discovery Room has offered children from birth to age ten a place where hands-on exploration and curiosity fuel early literacy and STEM learning in a colorful engaging format, with themes that rotate quarterly throughout the year. The Discovery Room is currently closed for the duration of  the seismic renovation of the main branch library. In the meantime, here are some fun ways to bring the Discovery Room experience home.
