Downtown Storywalk

May 18, 2022

Salem Public Library and downtown shops are partnering to encourage families to take a stroll in downtown Salem, and enjoy the story Rainbow Stew by Cathryn Falwell in storefront windows. Stop in at participating businesses to pick up a map and mark your progress. The adventure begins at Archive Coffee & Bar, located at 102 Liberty St NE #120. Return your maps to the Children's Corner in the main library to receive a prize!

Library Foundation Honored as 2022 Library Supporter of the Year

The Salem Public Library Foundation has been recognized as the 2022 Library Supporter of the Year by the Oregon Library Association. This award is given to a person or organization involved in various activities in Oregon on an unpaid basis. This may be as a volunteer, friend, board member, government official, or individual. The recipient has shown commitment to supporting and promoting Oregon libraries.

Salem Public Library Launches New Art Hall for Local Artists

Salem Public Library has a new space dedicated to exploring artwork created by Salem area artists. Located inside the main entrance to the library, the Art Hall will host a series of temporary exhibitions that will change throughout the year.
