7th annual Library Talent Showcase features exciting, varied line-up

From stand-up comedy to Bollywood-style dance, an exciting lineup of local talent will be packed into one thrilling evening for Strut Your Stuff: A Talent Showcase at 7 p.m. Friday, April 5 in Loucks Auditorium at Salem Public Library, 585 Liberty St. SE. A showcase of local talent for performers ages 18 and older, Strut Your Stuff is a non-competitive annual celebration of the skills and talents in our community. Admission is free on a first-come, first-seated basis. Doors open by 6:30 p.m.

2019 Salem Recreation Guide Now Available

The 2019 Recreation Guide is available in both English and Spanish on the City of Salem website. The guide is filled with a variety of programs for children, adults, and families. Many of the programs have fee waivers available to qualified Salem residents creating plenty of opportunities to Come Out and Play! Parks and Recreation is also excited to add the $13 half marathon to the STRIDE Run/Walk series

Free English Classes now available at Salem Public Library

March 13, 2019

Free English classes are now available weekly from 2:30-4 p.m. Tuesdays in the Plaza Room at Salem Public Library. The classes are available through a partnership with Goodwill Industries and Salem Public Library. The class is open to all levels, beginning, intermediate, and advanced English students.
