Salem’s New Cogen Facility Saves Money and Converts Waste to Energy

Salem’s new Cogen Facility is now online and creating renewable energy from wastewater. This new facility will keep about 5,000 metric tons of pollution out of our atmosphere and save the City $300,000 on energy costs every year. We are so thankful for the generous support we received from customers in Portland General Electric’s Green Future Program, the Energy Trust of Oregon and Oregon Department of Energy.

Grant Now Available to Help Businesses Adapt Outdoor Space for Winter Months

November 10, 2020

Apply now! $200,000 in grants is now available to businesses needing help purchasing or renting temporary outdoor coverings and heaters for cold and rainy months during the COVID-19 pandemic. Businesses must apply between Nov. 10 at 12 p.m. and Nov. 17 at 5 p.m.
