The SPLASH website used to pay and work with permits, licenses and land use applications has been updated to be mobile-friendly. Look for the changes after 6 p.m. on January 22nd. The update includes a name change. SPLASH (Salem Permit, License, & Application Services Home) is becoming the City of
Salem Permit Application Center.
What you can expect
Mobile-friendly - The website has been completely remodeled so that it is easy to use on mobile devices. No more magnifying glass needed to request an inspection while you are standing at a construction site.
Improved dashboard - As soon as you login, you will see your active permits, licenses and land use applications. You can quickly see if you have an outstanding balance on something and sort the lists by balance due, address or work type.
Improved registration system - The new site requires all current users to reregister so that your permit account at the City will be connected to your account in the City's Utility Billing system and the City's Parks & Recreation system. You will have the same username and password for all three systems. If you change your password for one, it will change for the other two. Users who already have an email address in the permit system will be able to complete the registration process without staff intervention. If you don't have an email address in the permit system, you can still register. However, City staff will need to do the final steps to complete your connection.
Ability to switch between multiple accounts - The new system allows you to connect individuals to company accounts so you can always see the work your business is doing. Just email us with the company name you should be connected to get set up.
Foundation for the future
The new site uses up-to-date web technology that allows us to make more features available in the future. The goal is to create a full-service site that allows you to work with permits, licenses and land use applications anytime, anywhere.
