​Oregon World Water Day takes place this month on March 22. This year to celebrate Oregon World Water Day the City of Salem's Clean Streams Initiative wants to see your connection to Oregon waterways. Join the Oregon World Water Day Photo Contest by taking a picture that represents your connection to Oregon waterways and submit it to [email protected] Do you use waterways for recreation or serene contemplation? Do you have a waterway that is an integral part of your family's life? Or perhaps you like to observe wildlife in their natural habitat? Whatever your connection is, show us in your photo.

To enter send your photo and release form to [email protected] Entries are accepted starting March 1, 2020 until 5pm on March 23, 2020. The winner will be chosen by the public via Facebook reactions. Voting will be open from March 24, 2020 until 5pm on March 31, 2020. The photo with the most Facebook reactions at the close of the contest will win a prize basket with items to help you along your waste reduction journey, such as a reusable water bottle, coffee cup, straw, shopping bags, and more. Contest is open to anyone who lives, works, or plays in Salem. All ages, under 18 must have a parent or guardian signature. Waterways must be located in Oregon.
