Books4Kids Literacy Outreach

Books4Kids Literacy Outreach is a specially grant-funded program designed to provide books and literacy information to children and families in underserved communities in Salem. Staff deliver kits to organizations serving youth in PreK – grade 5. Each Books4Kids book bag contains several books, an activity pack, and information about library services, and are for families to keep (no returns, fines, or fees). Library staff will drop off book packs at an agreed upon date and time to participating partner organizations serving the Salem community in a manner that does not disrupt services, enabling them to distribute to families when convenient. We ask that partner organizations limit requests to no more than 75 kits.
