The City of Salem is proposing to revise the methodologies used to determine Systems Development Charges (SDCs) for Parks, Transportation, Water, Wastewater, and Stormwater infrastructure.  SDCs are collected from new development projects in Salem and are used to help cover the construction costs of new public infrastructure. The proposed SDC Methodology along with additional information about SDCs and the SDC Methodology Committee is available on the City's website.  Hard copies of the proposed SDC Methodology have been placed at the following locations:

  • Public Works Department, 555 Liberty Street SE – Room 325
  • Central Library Reference Desk, 585 Liberty Street SE

A public hearing on the proposed SDC Methodology Report has been scheduled for February 25, 2019.  Please contact Glenn Davis, PE, CFM, at [email protected] or 503-588-6211 if you have questions about the SDC methodologies or the notification and adoption process.
